By using a simple DNA test we hope to find out which Philbricks , Philbrooks, Felbriggs, Fylbriggs and others with a similar surname have a common ancestor. The Philbrick name in America can be traced back to Thomas Philbrick, born before 13 September 1584 in Bures St. Mary, Suffolk, England. It is likely that his father was Thomas A. Fylbrigg, born between 1545 and 1550 in Bures, but no proof has been found to date.
